The weekend long event, which was held Aug. 15-16, kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially re-open with Kimberly Loper, Harbor Pet’s new owner, Greeport Village officials, volunteers, trainers and adoptable dogs from the NFWAL and area businesses.
The celebration featured adoptable dogs, pet portraits, a Yappy Hour with giveaways and refreshments for people and their pets, pet portraits and an Ask the Trainer session.
Harbor Pets donated a portion of the proceeds from the weekend sales, $500 to the NFWAL.
“We are so happy to give back to the pet community here on the North Fork of Long Island,” said Loper. “And as the owner of 2 rescue dogs myself – I am so happy we had adoptable dogs from NFWAL here with us to celebrate and that we can donate to the shelter as well.
“We will be doing more events with NFWAL in the future and also additional fun and educational events for pet owners to attend and look forward to continuing to working with our NoFo pet professionals more and more,” Loper said. “We are all in this together and it’s so wonderful to work with our community pet experts.”
